Avatar takes on criticism from the Vatican

Among blue creatures, special effects and surround sound "Avatar" is breaking box office records worldwide. The script, which focuses on imperialism and biodiversity, has already reached the Vatican. Some say the story was inspired by the book 'Far From Silent Planet', by the Christian writer CS Lewis.

Writer and director, James Cameron, takes the audience to a place called Pandora in the year 2154 where the navi, humanoids creatures who practice religion live. The problem is that theyre trying to keep humans from accessing a hidden mineral that could solve their energy problems and in turn hurt the navi.

I love this movie! And the Vatican is saying "This movie is not emotional"! WTF! Were they high when they saw this? There were emotional parts in the movie! And they say it's some sort of challenge against there way? WTF again! So we can't respect nature? I find it strange that the Vatican would talk crap about Avatar but not the movie 2012.

I used to be Catholic and I don't know what to believe. It has nothing to do with Avatar either. The entire Christian faith sn't founded on truth but more self righteousness. Its view that it is the only beliel sysyem out there to follow is unfounded.

@FeignofCordor I don't, I think you have a bias view for some reason and are not looking at the film objectively. This is an argument ad populem, many many people can be wrong about things. at one time it was believed the earth was flat, the whole world believe that, but they were wrong. To say that i am right because other think the same thing dose not make you right, you need to demonstrate that you are right.

@FeignofCordor I can see anti war, I can see anti corporation, I can see anti imperialism, but Pro terrorist? so if an alien race lands on this planet and starts to take over, any humans fighting to stop them are now terrorists?
