that icy tone he produces..ABM: the pianist's pianist, descended from mount olympus to show what pianistic perfection is to mortals. famous story about his ravel/rach recording sessions : Michelangeli refused to do retakes. so he just sat down and recorded everything without a break and then left the studio, and the orchestra then had the embarssing task of patching over their mistakes without him. but on his part, None was detected, as usual.
