Beautiful car, I'm a Jag fan since the 60's.
I'm about to buy a 2003 Jaguar XK8
-
what engine does he have in this

Really thinking I might want to get a replica of one of these for myself. Down to this, the D-Type, GT40 or a Ultima GTR. They are all so ungodly fast I think it just comes down to what I think is the prettiest.

Kudos for building a replica of the great car

How do you no Nigel Webb. Im very good friends with him.He also has a replica that i have had the plesure to be driven in!As you I have had the stories from Norman and have got the book. Ive had the pleasure of spending a long weekend with Norman as he stayed with me in the classic Le mans last year! Have the upmost respect for him! I got taken round the le mans circuit in the Nuremberg Ring S-Class jag behind the real xj13 that Norman was passenger of!

How fortunate for you. To answer your question, we met Nigel (and several other nice folks) in '04 at Goodwood for the fundraiser. If you have the book look on page 563; my friend is in it. (The story from that day starts on pg 559.) Cheers - and please give them our best next time you meet. Mike & Ginger

The video is of a very good replica built by my friends, Predator Performance. There is only one real XJ13 at the JDHT museum. I was sitting in it while Norman told me stories of his testing and what he did when he wrecked it. I had the pleasure of riding with him in XKD505 at Goodwood in 04 at speed. Get his new biography "Norman Dewis of Jaguar, Developing the Legend" by Paul Skilleter with Norman Dewis, it's a fantastic book. I have nothing but respect for the man, the car, and the marque.
