In Knitting Daily (www.knittingdailytv.com) episode 206, the show's co-hosts and producers model garments from Tahki Stacy Charles, Inc. to show how sweaters can look best on women of different body types.
It really doesn't matter that they are yarn company samples. When the show speaks about the patterns they should also talk about how to increase the stitching in the pattern to make it for a larger size. Isn't that what the show is all about, teaching others how to knit no matter what size they are? Instead of Shay reading que cards let her talents out by teaching us how to make manufacture's designs more functional fro REAL women.
All the sweaters were model samples sent in from the yarn company, only in size small or medium. We would love to do a Big Girl Knits segment in a future show...maybe we should get Amy and Jillian on as guests to present patterns from their book!
What I would REALLY like to see is what Kim, Uni, Liz, Kim and Annie are doing over in a huddle off- camera. Planning to switch Shay's sugar bowl to salt or short-sheet her bed, I'm guessing. Read a book next time, Eleanor! ;-)
Why aren't there BBW on this show? Doesn't anyone get it, that LARGE women love sweaters too? Why isn't that there always has to be size bias on shows like this? Isn't it time that we include ALL shapes and sizes of women that are out there in the REAL world? SHEESH?!

I tried to edit this - I forgot Jamie and typed Kim in twice.
