  • i have a question, isn't the false vocal fold lined by pseudostratified ciliated columnar epithelium as it continues from the epiglottis? and isn't only the true vocal fold lined with stratified squamous epithelium which then changes into pseudostratified ciliated columnar epithelium again, which is the classic lining epithelium of the trachea?

  • I thank you very much !!!!!!!!!

  • @WeakestSoldier additional to this bellow the epithelial layer of true vocal fold we have Dense Connective Tissue "DCT" and right under that vocal ligament ( epithelial - DCT- vocalis ligament - skeletal muscle )

  • True vocal fold-->no glands in the submucosa,lined by SSNKE,triangular mb,vocalis muscle.

    False vocal fold-->Lots of glands,lined by psedustratified columnar epithelium with kinocilia,quarangular mb.
