The vinyl rip here is not the best quality, but my copy of this single is old and my ripping player has its limits. The sound of this band is quite reminiscent of Top 40 acts of the mid-1980s such as Mr Mister, Wang Chung etc. I found this single in a bargain basement bin at 14 and bought it because I thought the graphics of the cover were dope.I loved the song, and still do.It's catchy and I think the production is flawless. Person To Person were unfortunately completely unblemished by success. In my opinion they are underrated and sadly overlooked, as 3 excellent, strong singles and a classy, slick album were released without so much as a dent to the pop charts. One of the guys - David Palmer- was an ex-member of ABC. The video I made for the song is just a collection of images I like, and they have absolutely nothing to do with the song, nor are they in any way related to each other!!! Enjoy!!!

  • Thanks once again for making my day - ask me any questions you like if it will help fill in the blanks ;)

  • Unfortunately, High Time was released too early and we hadn't done any promotion work, tv shows, tours, press, gigs...ANYTHING! When the record company guys visited us in the studio and heard a half recorded High Time, CBS were very insistant that they wanted to release this song as our debut single asap...even before we'd finished the track in the studio. Crazy really!! Consequently, it was out out there without any support and therefore no real chance of success - we were ahead of our time!

  • and they were for all three single releases...Hight Time, Love On The Rebound and Reputation. The latter I loaned to a girl friend many moons ago and sadly, she never returned it. I do however still have a very grainy vhs copy of the other two tracks, which I'm sure I will convert to mp4 at some point. We supported Alison Moyet on tour and enjoyed playing many beautiful theatres/city halls along the way. . I think with our New York producers 'The System', we could have done quite well in the US

  • Well, what can I say?! I'm so please you guys like what we did back in the mid 80's. I'm Pete Eason and I was the vocalist in Person To Person all those years ago. I can't believe you actually found us by purchasing a record from a bargain bin - brilliant!!! Thanks so much for your kind words on the songs, they mean a lot to me even after all this time. My personal fave was High Time for the funky dance groove more than anything. We did actually make three videos whilst signed to CBS/EPIC
