Oh, I had a one sided conversation with this jackass. He verbally abused me on the phone because I asked him a question about drug testing people in the medical profession. I think they should be drug tested but he chewed me out and said it would be against their civil rights. This is the same way he spoke to me. He is a jackass!

Great decision, Steve. Although no longer in your district I appreciate you dedication to the people of MS who are unable to defend themselvse against those of the Republican Party who desire to keep them on the bottom. Even going as far as to recommend drug testing for those receiving government assistance. Florida tried this and the receipients were found to be 2% positive in the testing vs 6% in the general population. Keep up the great work, Steve and please, please do not retire.

Mr. Holland used to own/Manage Lee Memorial Funeral home however; it is now owned by a nice young man who is an IRAQ veteran. It is my understanding that Mr. Holland harasses him and his employee’s every day. Complaints have been filed with the state board of funeral service and nothing is done... Can someone help this new owner?

So now he is tiring to pass a bill (HB997), in the house that would allow him to take pre-arrangements away from his old business so he can benefit. Also in 2001 he authored a bill and it passed that allowed his own mother to become a licensed funeral director without going to school or taking a test. Is that Legal?

Here are some facts about this jerk. He is a funeral director and State representative, who sold thousands of dollars of pre-arranged funeral plans to elderly people in and around Lee County. When he sold as much as he could he and his partners sell out their business to a large company in 1999. When his non-compete ran out he left that funeral home to build a new funeral home in Tupelo. His business was not doing well so he tried to buy back his old business, they would not sell.

This guy is not only a jerk, but he is a self-contradictory idiot. He talks about open meetings, but then turns around and proceeds to summarily quash the Executive Director of Medicaid because he "doesn't like" Dr. Robinson or the way he heads the division. If Holland only wanted to hear from the medicaid budget director, he should have simply stated this upfront, bypassed all the puerile drama, and offered to reconvene when the budget director arrived...which is what eventually happened.

Holland needs to be given a swift kick in the ass and out of the Legislature in November. Mississippians, please share this video with others in our state.
