The Philip Glass Ensemble with The Roches. This starts off at walking pace, then breaks into a trot, then breaks into a gallop, and at the end it's fast and furious. I suspect only the true Philip Glass fans will stick with it while the rest of you turn it off half way through. But you should hear the last part when the Ensemble are blasting it out. Andrew once threatened to put his foot through my speakers and it usually drives everyone round the bend. This brings out the best in my powerful sound system as it goes along. This is a dance piece based on the life of the Photographer Edward Muybridge (1830-1904) who proved with a series of photographs that a trotting horse at some time will have all four feet off the ground. This work is available on iTunes.

@cornwall59 - He composed and performs the sountrack music for the cult film KOYAANISQATSI...that word comes from the Hopi Indian language...

@007vauxhall - It is a long piece and Philip Glass's minimal music is very technical.
