James Spencer's penalty save was the closest Chasetown came to having a chance in this fairly one-sided game in Staffordshire. Michael Norton's unopposed header on the half-hour mark gave FC a lead they never looked like giving up. Two soft penalties changed the outlook of the match with Dean Stott's assured spot-kick putting the reds two up on the hour. In the final minute Matthew Wolfenden chased down their defence, getting to the ball first, to slide home the ball from an acute angle to wrap up this comfortable league encounter.
