The Spoken word comes to life in FRENCH, ENGLISH and SPANISH.. Across two continents, two women meet and collab on INSANITY - Listen to Jessie (aka Janeczka) and Angela (aka Proshka) recite in different languages

INSANITY

A poem by Angela Gegg
from her book, "The Light, The Dark, & Everything In Between"

Insanity is among us;

Waiting and watching,

Watching and waiting,

As psychosis sets in,

and Nightmares become

a melancholy reality....

nightmares develop in the dark
when the lids of the eyes are shut,
and the symptoms of sleep arise,
the carcass shuts down in sleep
but the mind remains awake,
to dream and wander, into the
subconscious world of the unknown,
where the drab and dreary, the
desolate and doom (these too soon),
corrupt the mind, causing nightmares
to again become a melancholy reality,
this Insanity is my Reality!

  • fascinating, invigorating, captivating..

  • Beautiful!!

  • La parte en español de la primera chica tiene mucho acento francés ( lo cual la hace interesante) y cuando Proshka la declama, su español tiene un acento medio italiano.....I think it was pretty nice.

  • yeah!! good one!!! 5*****

  • There is a beauty of rational appreciation in hearing every language you speak, but there is another beauty, a physical beauty, in hearing a language which you don't speak. It becomes more a function of the body. Both appreciations have their own separate emotional contents. A mouth can be wonderfully involving, and certainly more intriguing when you don't speak the language.

  • Totally digging this. Working in more than one language is great for any of the arts. What we say, what we sing, if it was worth the effort in the first place, should reach out to all people. It should be shared. That is how culture advances. I speak neither French nor Spanish, so I am sure I am missing some great poetry.

Really loved this one in English, but I still enjoyed hearing and watching the delivery in the other languages.

  • Mira que bien,en español y todo¡¡¡OLE TU¡

  • That was really something...something about hearing the poem in three different languages added something to the poem...it felt like it added a depth...a texture...
