  • @petrucci973 I found it annoying when she slagged off the Toronto emergency services - as far as I can tell they did all right (they were there within a minute, and everyone survived). Their job isn't to run around giving her updates every 5 minutes.

  • I think pilots saved hundreds lives. ATC told them they could land, that the weather was good enough to land, and then seconds from landing the pilots obviously found out the weather was absolutely terrible -"winds were pushing A-340`s limits"

    In these conditions, captain made the decision to rule out an aborted take off, since he didn't want the plane to become airborne again in such weather.

    The crew made no operational mistakes and took some time for thrusters because of difficulty wet rwy
