I'd grow some pot in the Reserves and sell it to white folks..., it's a booming business!

A wise man, Russell means is. He is a person fighting for a whole nation. The voice of our people. We cannot down grade Russell means because he is a brave talking for a nation that is now scared to even talk about their ways and stand-up for what they believe in. By our nation I'm mean the Native american community. We were scared to talk to the American people about what we believe in, and yet he stood and faught for us. A great wacasha wakahi.

Anyone who can raise awareness - can empower the people - the power raises spirits to the higher cause that sets the people free...

The European Royalty from antiquity has produced NOTHING. It has only extracted every ounce of productivity from everyone since way back since the time of Napoleon. It's the same massive wealth that rules today. What is WRONG with people that they accept this inequity in our lives? Why do so many turn on those raising alarms? In our time, the Native Americans were the first to be robbed of their land. There are STILL active ct. cases over this. It's a fact. I've spoken to some of their attorneys

@Innkaris Thanks for the response. I once heard Russell Means speak in person, and in public even he acknowledged the role of the elders in Native American society - though apparently he doesn't follow through with offering the traditional level of respect. I do hope that in some way the Lakota, and all Native tribes, can be restored to a state where both personal and cultural well-being are restored.

@Tigerpaws9097826 He broke various rules of native society to get where he is now. First, he didn't ask our elders for permission - He simply decided he was in charge. And believe me, being disrespectful towards elders is one of the worst things you can do, it can get you kicked out of the tribe. So, no Lakota ever asked him for anything and whenever he is on shows he acts disrespectful and proud. All Lakotas I know voted for the other guy. He has no honor among us. All he wants is spotlight.

@Innkaris Can you be more specific about at least some of the points where the predominant views of the Lakota culture and those of Russell Means differ? At least based on what I've heard so far in this video, it seems that Mr. Means raises some valid concerns - such as, an indirect appeal for the welfare of the Lakota, and offering due respect for the influence that Native American culture has had on that of the Europeans which has generally displaced it. Thank you for whatever you can add.

i would be honored to be able to vote for him in 2012
@ReinaValera1865 You are a contributor to the problem, what you here is directly in contrast with your fake freedom channel, I can only conclude that you are in bed with what you have been told is right, which proves the sheep IQ, or you are that gutless your too afraid to stand like a Man and help rid the world of the evil that has you so afraid, so grow some brains, grow some balls, then think for yourself, then speak, till then the free-thinking people are hearing from you is Baa-aa-aa
