YOU SHOULD FEEL SAFE AT SCHOOL

COLAC'S GREAT BIG NEW "UNWANTED WHITE ELEPHANT" THE JOINT USE "SCHOOL" LIBRARY WILL OPEN THIS YEAR AND THE COLAC OTWAY SHIRE COUNCIL WILL USE THE PUBLIC LIBRARY BUILDING FOR OFFICE SPACE! THANKS TO OUR MAYOR Cr. LYN RUSSELL WHO BROKE A 66% MANDATE.
IN FACT THE COUNCIL WILL SPEND HUGE AMOUNTS OF RATE PAYERS MONEY ON REFURBISHING THE ORIGINAL PUBLIC LIBRARY BUILDING. COLAC RATE PAYERS HAVE BEEN SCAMMED BY THE COUNCIL, BUT IT'S NOT OVER BECAUSE THE EDUCATION MINISTER CAN KICK THE COUNCIL OUT OF THE SCHOOL AT ANY TIME FOR ANY REASON, SO THE FIGHT TO HAVE AN INDUSTRY STANDARD FREE STANDING CBD LOCATED PUBLIC LIBRARY IN COLAC HAS BEGUN! Update: The JUL recently flooded due to poor drainage and as a result the entire carpet had to be replaced. As per the Agreement signed by the Shire Council / School Council / Ed Dept the Colac Otway Shire Council was forced to pay $5000.00 of ratepayers money towards the insurance excess!

The School children pay NO late fines yet adults do!

The Children can order books from other Libraries within the CRLC = NO charge

Adults must pay $1.10 per item when ordering from other Libraries.

Just goes to show you that the new Joint Use School Library really is just a "School" Library, not designed for the public at all. Anyone sending a child to Colac Secondary College is paying for their child's Education twice, once through income tax and again in rates due to the agreement signed by our stupid Council! What gets me is there are no new books in the Joint Use School Library and you are under the guise of Teachers the whole time your in there, when I went it gave me the creeps!
