  • Glen Miller was actually handsome in a geeky way.

  • que hermosa version es la original grabada por la orquesta de glenn miller para la rca victor

  • Wow,listen to that sax section.

  • Thanks for this upload. Its a sound I've always associated with my childhood and Christmas. My dad had an old collection of records that he got through the readers digest. It was a 4 LP set and contained all the best christmas music at the time (late 40s early 50's). It a selection I've never seen replaced by anything that even comes close to it in standard. The sound has a warmth the evokes the holiday sensation like no new numbers have ever done.

  • This is so much better than the modern Glen Miller band that uses "electric bass" --totally ruins the classic style for me.

  • the mother of all orchestras and best jingle bells version thanks..

  • My fave version of Jingle Bells - thanks for the upload :)

  • "I don't mind the storm, Bring your coats and hats, You lukewarm cats, I've got my horn to keep me warm." "Jingle Bells" was released in 1941 on the RCA Bluebird label as a 78 single, 11353. Tex Beneke and Ernie Caceres sing the lead vocals along with the Modernaires.

  • The musical arrangement was written by Glenn Miller and Bill Finegan. Harold Dickinson and Bill Conway wrote the additional lyrics. "Jingle Bells" was composed by James Lord Pierpont in 1857. The Glenn Miller Orchestra recording reached no. 5 on the national charts in 1941. The song was also performed on the Chesterfield radio show with an introduction. Tex Beneke is the lead vocalist on the track. "Bring your coats and hats you lukewarm cats, I've got my horn to keep me warm."

  • Merry Christmas to you all!
