***I did NOT create this AMV. Please see below***

Anime: Rurouni Kenshin
Director: Joseph Croasdaile
Studio: Maboroshi Studio
Music: Soundtrack to Glory - 1989
Track: #10 - Charging Fort Wagner
Artist: James Horner
Original Release Date: 2/10/2001

This is one of my favorite AMVs. Rurouni Kenshin is an anime that I haven't actualy seen. However, the movie Glory is one of my Top 10 favorite movies and the soundtrack is wonderful. When I first saw this in 2001, I was blown away on how this person was able to make an AMV to this track so perfectly. It doesn't even matter if you have not seen Rurouni Kenshin. You just have to appreciate the work he did.

  • This AMV kicks some serious ass, it is severly under-rated.

  • I know and I don't really understand that.

But from what I have seen at the few conventions I have been too, and also from my friends who do the judging of AMVs at these conventions, people seem to like the Funny AMVs and dismiss serious work such as this one.

Personally, I haven't seen another AMV, that's not by Maboroshi Studio, that is just as powerful and emotional as this one.

I welcome examples.... but I haven't seen anything that is at this level yet.

  • I think you are referring to O Fortuna from Carl Orff's Carmina Burana, and yes Charging Fort Wagner is heavily influenced by it, if not too much, as in ripped off. Still both good pieces.

  • pretty cool

  • Look at you go! Nice

  • Well there is another composition used for movie promos that sounds VERY similar to Charging Fort Wagner. However, the melodic line is slightly different.

  • Great AMV. Thanks for posting

  • well dont care wat oter people think this amv is A+++ work congrats

  • DONE! :) great Soundtrack!! :), so exiting!! still Glory is my fave! :), i think I'll get Schindler's List first! :) what kind of music do you like?

  • It's a great soundtrack! It was actually the first CD I ever got. Let me know what you think of it.

    Other soundtracks I recommend:

    Empire of the Sun

    Far and Away

    Stargate

    Schindler's List

The guy who made this AMV, Maboroshi Studio, also made AMVs using the themes from Far and Away. Empire of the Sun, and Stargate.

You can see these AMVs and the others he made on my site.

  • thanks you so much!! :D really really! :) i just got the whole soundtrack and I'm just to minutes of listen it ll! :)
