Travelling by boat from Hong Kong to destinations such as Macau, Guangzhou and Shenzhen Airport is now quick and easy, using modern fast hydrofoil / catamaran boats the journey can be done in a relatively short period of time.
I would like to talk about the first ferry and the cotai jet, as you know, the first ferry(except the second catamaran of first ferry) and the cotai jet are using the same kind of catamaran--- AUSTAL 48m. It's max speed is 42.5knots, service speed is 39 -41knots. Both of the ferry go from hk to macao takes around 1 hour,
if the ferry is 26 and 32knots, it will take 1 hour 45minutes and 1.5 hour in order to arrive at macao
Thank you for the info. I am really impressed by the super fast hydrofoils from Hong Kong. They are like transformers when they rise out of the water.
