@FordProbeGT94 very true. Doug has more finesse with his words, But Brent brings a powerful, dark infused torment to the song. It defiantly makes the pain hit closer to home

i rather enjoy dougs voice just the pain and fluence he provides within his singing is far from quaint

Doug's is good, but I prefer the haunting sound that Brent gives.

I'm listening to the two versions at the same time right now and I think Brent and Doug fit each of their respective versions flawlessly. Brent's version is set up to be almost acoustic and intimate (hence more feeling brought and aroused, that feeling of despair and anger) whereas the version with Doug is set up as a rock/alternative track (less emotional connection, more powerful tones)... if I had to make a choice this would be my favourite though XD

Sorry but Brent Smith sounds better.. This guy just doesn't get me into the song like Brent does.

i love this version way better.. Doug shows emotions.. the other guy seems like he has no emotions
-
That's kinda funny. If you play both versions at the same time, this one is echoing the other.

I prefer this version over Brent Smith's because there seems to be more anger in voice...almost a sense of despair.
BOTH VERSIONS ARE FANTASTIC.. They each take you on a seprate but equally intense ride. Doug Robbs version is more passion filled, longing, screaming for the woman to understand. Brent Smiths version is dark, haunting, somewhat on the borderline of stalker material. If you are like me you listen to music to be transported to a memory or a feeling, so in that aspect both versions in their own way kick ass!! When I am missing my man, it's Dougs, When I miss him and I hate him for it, its Brents!
