Well Tango is downbeat and The Charleston is upbeat, so really depends if your "Down." Or "Up" for it.

For those of you who know dance: 1920's Charleston and Argentinian Tango are very different in character, but have some surprising features in common. They both put strong demands on your axis control, and the technique of leading and following is the same. Swing dancers find it hard to learn this kind of communications, but tango dancers take it right away, because it is what they already know.

Beautiful video! The tango vs The Charleston? They are expression from our South and North America. For our people tango is a sentence (sentimiento) and charleston is a amusement (diversión). Our tango´s dance is very different than european and american films (Valentino) . Greetings from Argentina and: Viva el tango y el charleston!
