Cool, I'm looking at getting one mostly for around the house and if I travel overseas where I will use my own wireless mobile modem. This might just do the trick.

The iPHONE works great with Skype.

Thanks for that info. One question. You mentioned $7.95 per month. IS this for the $2.99 per month plan (Unlimited US and Canada) + a monthly charge to have a phone number so non-skype users can call you? Of did you purchase another monthly plan other than the basisc $2.99 plan? Just wondering so I can identify the total cost it would be for me. I like this Belkin phone.

You should be able to un-lock the phone and install a brower via the USB cable if it has one if this is possible there is Oprea mini which you could download free

Hello, i don't know about this phone but the best solution i know for now is a pc with linux or windows with a Logitech clearchat wireless. Mobile solution would be an air card connected to a netbook with a bluetooth or the clearchat headset. Lot of hardware to deploy to talk on a not always reliable network(i'm living in Quebec/Canada). Cellphone company don't want that to happend. By the way D-link DPH-50U was the worst ever eletronic s**t i never bought. Any know pstn/skype adapter working?

get an Itouch or psp they both have internet browsers that let you use skype plus they both do a whole lot more game, movies, music, and internet browsing

UPDATE. Now this phone WILL work at all Starbucks, MacDonalds, Barnes and Noble, at many hotels, airports, public libraries and other Boingo hot spots, over 100,000 worldwide. Only $7.95 per month gives you unlimited minutes 24/7 for Skype calls. I just bought this phone (includes Boingo software) at Frys for $100 and it's great. Forget the new Ipevo SO-20 Wi-fi Skype phone for now - it doesn't have Boingo available yet.
No, I'm afraid I tested it on a standard wireless-G connection with cable Internet access. I'm guessing wireless-B with DSL would be fast enough, but I haven't tried it. Forget dial-up, though.

Can you put Opera mini on it?
PersonalComputerHelp 3 years ago
Nope. There's no way to install third party software on it.

Pretty good. It's about like a cellular phone.
