Associated Youth Services 2009 Volunteer of the Year

Over the past three years, Stephanie has become a vital member of AYS Board of Directors where she serves as the Board Treasurer and Chair of the Audit Committee. In addition, she has helped build AYS main fundraiser into a roaring success by inviting hordes of friends, hunting down the best auction items and working to secure sponsorships. Last year Stephanie single-handedly brought in over 1/3 of the events auction items and is on the way to beating her own record this year!

Her personal attention and dedication to AYS youth are absolutely awe-inspiring. Whenever AYS needs help with a special project, Stephanie is there championing the cause. She did not hesitate to jump in when AYS pulled together an expert panel to train staff on administering a financial literacy curriculum to our youth. She weathered sweltering hot weather to support AYS debut in the downtown art walk last July. She convinced a talented co-worker to attend a Get to Know AYS breakfast and consider a possible board position. And each year, she is hands on serving a holiday meal at AYS Winter Chill Celebration for AYS youth, foster youth and families. Amazingly, she does all this with a smile on her face.
