In Matt 7:12 Jesus says "Do unto others..." yet Deuteronomy 22:28-29 says a man can rape an unmarried woman so long as her father gets 50 shekels out of it. You really think that squares with Jesus' teachings? If you're going to use an iron age book of poorly translated fairy tales to prop yourself up, use ALL of it or get rid of it, you hypocrite.

@shaunmalley No offense but this is the kind of ignorance we hear ALL the time from people who read a little scripture and then think they know what it means. Dude, Deu 22:28-29; read it in the king james and a few other translations in light of the 10 commandments for example and you'll see it gives NOONE permission to rape but rather by law, the person had sexual relations with the woman and they are found (indicating it was MUTUAL) then that man has to marry her, etc.

@shaunmalley The law was given to deter and deal with specific issues like that. It by NO MEANS means what you just stated or think it means. A casual reading of the Bible will get you back in dark age mentality. Put some serious thought to it next time before you go off on a tangent like this.

@713NawfSid3 - Yes the bible tells us there are countless worlds and beings out there... none of which we will be able to find or see until after the second coming of Christ. As for the testing of Abraham's faith, the Bible describes Abraham as the father of faith, he knew the voice of God, and the request to give up his own son, the very one God promised him in his old age, illustrates to the entire unvierse what God was going to do for you and me and every else, give up his own Son Jesus.

You clearly do not know what evolution teaches then if you accept the theory but not the notion that we are related genetically and biologically to an onion. Go over the Berkley university evolution website sometime for ex. Similarities in dna even at the 98% level proves nothing in and of itself. Must study the mechanisms themselves that supposedly make it happen and that is where the theory crumbles. As for donating money.. you have a good heart, but if it will never end, is it worth it?

Evolution makes sense? So the bible says we're all inbred (humans coming from humans) and you can't believe in the God of the bible, yet you can accept a theory that says you are related to an onion and an amoeba way back in the evolutionary timeline? interesting.

And yes there are starving children and rape victims in the world. And God commands that we all do our best to follow His principles and obey His ways. We all don't, hence the mess we're in. So what r u doing to improve the situation?
