  • @ohaiderrrr as a bassist yourself I am surprised you recognize the double bass as one of the easier instruments to play. That's a very common and ignorant misconception. Want to know why? Bassists have to deal with thicker strings aka harder to pull, and harder to press down, especially with higher notes. Furthermore, shifting on the double bass is more than twice that of any other string instrument. More chance for error and more time/energy required to shift from note to note.

  • "if chocolate could sing, it would sound like a double bass."

  • @MrWhatever1199 Dude, AMEN!

  • it's shame the bass has to be played in the highest register to heard over the orchestra. i'm definitely writing a concerto for an amplified bass.

  • as a bassist i've never seen the fingerboard extended like that :D

  • This is a very good performance !!! and also the man still young !!!!

I am a Bass player and seriously, and this one of the hardest concertos because of the work required to work around the G string and to retune the instrument in a tone higher it's just another Ball game!!!

  • Great Vibrato.

  • chocolatteeee thats what it sounds like:)

  • is that bass in fifth's??????

  • @basschica1117 Do you need the actual score or do you just need the Concerto part?

  • @Naxeez finnaly someone who agrees with me.

  • does anyone know where you can get the score for this? i plan on doing it for my senior concerto and need the score for my audition.....
