re the song....bring it on ;o)

:D A thousand pardons! By "early retirement" I certainly meant to emphasize "early," as in you undoubtedly probably still have a curfew and reek of Clearasil, not that you were ready for Scenic Glade Active Adults Retirement Village.
I learned a Burns song this past week and was going to request it from you, if you knew it. I've forgotten what! Talk about senility... it will come to me sooner or later.
Cheers

Hi...yes it is nice cornicing (as we would would say!)
re the Uni - sadly yes. Govt funding cuts etc etc and too early for retirement (can't you tell!...although I wish...)
Watch this space ;o)

Hiya Kevin. Lovely. I kind of like this unusual angle. I guess being in construction I can't help looking at your crown moulding and ceiling colors. hehe.
Really? Your Uni paid you off? Does that mean early retirement? I wish my university paid me off, for some reason they keep asking ME for money. Any event, with your talent you should be employed again soon. :) Keep posting!

Another smash hit. Give it a few more day's you'll be outselling the Beatles in no time :)
Jean Redpath uses this tune to sing "Davy Faa".
Do you know which song is older?

Jimmy MacBeath first sang this on stage in 1951...its first real 'staged performance'. Try Google for more info. Davy Faa is probably the older ballad altho I don't know if it was always sung to this tune....
