Larry Wessels, director of Christian Answers of Austin, Texas/ Christian Debater (YouTube channel: CANSWERSTV; websites: BibleQuery.org, HistoryCart.com, & MuslimHope.com) reviews the Biblical doctrine of Hell with teaching elder & author Rob Zins, ThM of Dallas Theological Seminary. The entire one hour program can be seen on Google Video, search "Larry Wessels" on their homepage. Hell is one of the most unpopular doctrines in the Bible (only "predestination" may be a doctrine more unpopular than Hell). A definition of Hell is as follows, "An eternal furnace of fire both material & spiritual where the inhabitants of Hell are tortured in mind & body by God, by every rational being in the universe, & the damned themselves (their memories & lusts torture them as well as their own active consciences). The damned in Hell would give, if they could, the world & all that is in it to have the number of their sins reduced by one." The Bible contains 1800 verses directly attributed to Jesus & of that number 13% relate to the judgment of God & damnation in Hell. Half of all the parables that Jesus spoke in the Bible relate to judgment & damnation (in Hell). Hell is a PLACE of ETERNAL TORMENT & is described as: Everlasting Fire (Matt. 25:41, Matt. 13:49-50), Eternal Punishment (Matt. 25:46, Rev. 20:10), Outer Darkness (Matt. 8:12, Matt. 22:13, Jude 13), Everlasting Destruction (2 Thess. 1:9, 2 Thess. 2:10-12), Lake of Fire (Rev. 19:20, Rev. 20:14-15); Hell is PREPARED for: the Devil & his angels (Matt. 25:41, 2 Peter 2:4), Wicked Men & Women (Psalm 9:17, Rom. 2:5, Jude 7, Proverbs 6:12-7:27), Nations that Forget God (Psalm 9:17), Disobedient, Apostates (Rom. 2:8-9, Hebrews 6:4-8, 2 Peter 2:21-22), The Beast & the False Prophet (Rev. 19:20, Rev. 20:10), Rejectors of the Gospel of Christ (Matthew 10:15, 2 Thess 1:8-9, Galatians 1:6-9), Worshipers of the Beast (Rev. 14:11), Fake, self-deceived "Christians" (Matt 7:15-23, James 2:14-26), Adulterers, fornicators, drunks, etc. (1 Corinthians 5:9-10, Gal 5:19-21, Ephesians 5:3-5), Those hated by God (Psalm 11:5-7, Psalm 5:4-6). Punishment in Hell is described as: Eternal (Isaiah 33:14, Rev 14:10, Rev 20:10), Bodily (Matthew 5:29-30), In the Soul (Matt 10:28, Luke 12:4-5), With Degrees (Matt 23:14, Luke 20:47, Mark 12:40, John 19:11), Unchangeable (Luke 16:22-31, Isaiah 40:8, Malachi 3:6); Inhabitants of Hell: Possess Memory (Luke 16:23,25, Isaiah 14:9-10, Matt 12:41-42, Cry for Release from Hell, Weeping (Luke 16:24, Matt 8:12, Matt 13:41-42), Cannot Escape from God (Psalm 139:8, Amos 9:1-4, Jeremiah 23:23-33). Additional References: Second Death (Revelation 2:11, a death that HURTS), Parable of the 10 Virgins (Matthew 25, the Door is PERMANENTLY SHUT), Hell Fire, Furnace of Fire (Matt 5:22, Matt 13:42, 50), Resurrection to LIFE or DAMNATION (John 5:28-29, Daniel 12:2, John 3:36), Worm will not die, fire not quenched (Isaiah 66:23-24, Mark 9:43-48), Unrepentant Sinners Left Outside (Revelation 22:15, turned away from God's kingdom), Blashemy of the Holy Spirit (Matt 12:31-32, no forgiveness ever anywhere), God Loves Judgment (Isaiah 61:8, Amos 5:18-24, Hebrews 10:26-31), THE WRATH OF GOD (Nahum 1:2-8, Deuteronomy 32:22-43, Revelation 19:11-21). • You're making a case for the eternal torment in hell for the wicked which i do not believe.you say that Jesus died to save us from"that place" the bible says He came to save us from our sin and sin is what i believe will be burned.there is no way Jesus' agony on the cross,no matter how "infinite",could ever possibly be more terrible than you or i spending eternity in the lake of fire;it's just not comprehensible.Jesus is now on the Right hand of God the Father enjoying pleasures forevermore.

  • @KingdomUploader Not only do you deny the historic Jewish interpretation of the Old Testament scriptures concerning an eternal, burning hell (see their Talmud, Midrash, Rosh Hashana, Targums, the Septuagint, etc) but you also deny the Jewish understanding of hell by Jesus & the New Testament writers. Click the "show more" for the description text of this video. There you will see plenty of New Testament verses proving the case for an eternal lake of fire where the damned will be for eternity.

  • People can stop the hostile engagements that separate many of us unbelievers and believers, so that when the time does come, more people can be saved. Because I don't see how people can beleive we all will be saved when the bible does not say so. I wish all people could be saved, but the bible says many will not be. We should all want what God wants, and look at me, I'm not Christian yet, why do I care so much for the well being of others in life or death. This needs to stop, but it won't.

  • It's no longer about, is what this says is correct, it's I,ME,MYSELF, AM I correct, my ideals. The whole point of looking at the bible and seeking God is for TRUTH. If that requires full study of the bible in it's original language, hours of looking, soul searching, asking God for guidance so that you won't come to a wrong conclusion, SO BE IT. I know this aspect will only get worst as we more towards an end, a date we do not know, but, I wish people see the truth of this matter and I hope that

  • This is madness, from Christian to Christian, believer to believer, we are arguing, fighting, cursing, yelling, belittling each other, for lack of understanding that was forced upon us. People cannot just look at the bible, and accept it anymore as God inspired and correct. A fellow believer and Christian should be open to reproof like the bible says by another Christian, but many are not. We're just fighting each other 24/7 I've noticed, believer or not. Everyone wants to be correct.

  • Researching government, fraud, faulty science, factual science, history, you name it, not just over 100 hours of videos, I literally watched over 70,000 vids, downloaded much audio and documents. After such a long time it seems, you have to come to a realization that there is an agenda against God, in specific, Christianity. Unbelievers, mainly humanist who embrace man and make him out to be God instead confuse us so well, we have to debate even the bible itself as believers of God.

  • It's sort of the same reason why Atheist don't want to believe in God, today, rationalism fueled by science, so called logic, relativism and humanistic principles is so ramped that it blocks a lot of people from really making decisions on their own. It's automatically assumed "if this does not make sense to you, it's wrong, ignore it" by most, and this is terribly sad. This is done by government and those behind it.Now I'm no crazed man or paranoid individual, I've been on youtube for years now.

  • I think alot of people have a problem with, modern day theology and socially acceptance. What I mean by that is, because today, lots of things are not politically correct and or it seems so out of lace by today's standards that, no one wants to beleive in a thing called Hell or that God will punish for disobedience. It seems it has less to do with actual facts and refutation which can stand opposed to the idea of Hell as a valid and opposing view, it's more because they don't want to beleive it.

  • @KingdomUploader Orthodox Jews do believe Jesus is burning in hell right now (burning in boiling semen according to the Jewish Babylonian Talmud, Git. 56a - see our CAnswersTV channel page for more). Fortunately, the unbelieving Jews are wrong because they simply don't believe the New Testament which is a true record. The NT says Jesus paid our sin debt with his own blood (we our website BIBLEQUERY ORG for more - particularly check Hebrews). Jesus is Eternal God in the flesh. Jn 1:1, Col 2:9

  • @LuxAuterna Just like your AVOIDANCE (& IGNORANCE) of what the Jewish religious literature teaches (that there is an ETERNAL, BURNING HELL), you also conveniently IGNORE what I quoted you in the previous reply, namely that God does KILL & TORTURE (Jeremiah 19:3,9,15; Isaiah 13:16 ff, & many other passages could be cited). God TORTURES people NOW & He will do it in the FUTURE eternity (Revelation 14:9-11), get it? Your argument of "redefining" is BOGUS since the LINGUISTIC literature refutes you.
