Panasonic HDC-HS300 foggy night drive low-light

Night, low-light test drive with the Panasonic HDC-HS300. Ambient lighting very minimal, mostly headlight illumination.
Iris was opened to 18dB, shutter 1/30, and white balance set to cloudy. Recorded in HA mode.

thanks. The camcorder wasn't mounted to anything. It just sat on the dash, so I had to keep repositioning it due to the vibrations.

There seems to be quite a bit of picture noise on this. Is that the limitations of YouTube coming out, or was that how it is?

partly both. The compression hurts the image, but the camcorder does have a little weakness with noise grain at very low light levels.

For a pitch dark image this is amazing. I can't believe the value that this camera gives for the monay that you pay. I want to get one in December!

under setup, enable 'auto slow shutter'. Then you can select the shutter speed to 1/30.
