A ride on George, Poole parks brand new steamer! During the weeks before George arrived, the railway had a smaller steam engine as a stand in, whilst they were awaiting their own. Then, about a month later, it arrived! The last steam engine the railway had, was sold in 1997, leaving only the HST diesel. Quite a few years on, and a diesel engine, that looked like it was steam, was bought by the railway. This was sold on soon after. Again the diesel was alone, and was soon painted a plain childish red, with its headlights removed. But since the new arrivel, the HST has been painted in a very stylish Eurostar livery which really suits the engine. Another good point, is they now have 2 engines running at the time, while one waits at the station, the other does the circuit, and then there is a swap over. A steam engine was all the railway needed to improve, and now the railway is amed at all ages, and is much more respectable! Well one to the owners!
Excellent video....including the funny man with camera making cameo appearance!
