@FilmForger ... (part 2) ...its artistic filters run much faster in Mac but under a hardware comparable PC the Blur filters run faster than they do in Mac. Maya under both platforms is the same thing and hitting render gives you the same times in the end... I can go on and on.

The fact that YOU work faster in Mac don`t mean that PC universe is pure shit. Personal experience told me that Bill Gates is an AS...OLE and Steve Jobs is a Megalomaniac. Both filling their pockets with our money.. Thanx

Anyway... I understand that you work in Mac and almost nothing in PC. Considering that what you can do is about software running in hardware and most of the pro software can run under both platforms the comparison can be fairly made. Day by day workflow under 3D or video edition requires pro video-cards and almost nothing to the OS...so... Using Photoshop is a good example because its artistic filters...(contnues)

@CarlosLAFI - I was refering to OS 9.2 and under - that is when Gates started his nightmarish 'Windowz' ripoff 'Drag and Dropping' in his systems - please do your own history - Google Scully from Apple - the idiot who sold those components to Gates. Then Gates stole the rest and that's why Apple and Microsoft was tied up in court all those years. Apple are the inovators - they are the Harley's of computers. I do more on a Mac in an hour than a week on a PC - so good luck with your time

@FilmForger ... (part 2) ... Apple also adopted the DDR RAM modules after PC... and if you talk about now the Cupertino family get married with Intel... I use Mac and PC so please stop being a blind Mac fundamentalist.... I got same kind of results on 2000 with 3D Studio Max and an AMD k6-II of 500Mhz.... New software requires new power to get same results in realtime, I don´t have to explain how long it took to render in the computer that I told before.

If you talk about the OS that´s impossible because MacOS is a kind of linux, being precise it´s a BSD so the core of the system could not be used in Windows at all... If you talk about hardware I must say that you have no idea of what are you talking about... long ago Mac had to surrender to the video cards for PC and adopted the AGP port first and after that the PCI-X... I've NEVER had a virus on my PC, as long as you do whats scheduled and have common sense you are good. I like iphone, I just don't agree with their ABSURD prices, it's not acceptable.

I've been on Macs since 1991 and never got a virus or spyware. Gates made the 'Windoze' concept from buying key components from Apple. Gates' whole family owns and loves their iPhone. Apple ALWAYS innovates technology. It's funny how the people who criticize Apple NEVER tried one. These people get used to fixing their exhausted PC's over and over that they are locked into a dull routine. You are missing out on Great machines and I don't care.
