Once again Schumer displays his ignorance of the operation of the government. The U.S. Attorney's serve at the pleasure of the President and may be removed without cause at any time. There is no requirement for the President to justify their removal, since he can remove them without cause...as Bill Clinton did when he removed and replaced ALL BUT THREE, of the U.S. Attorneys during his Presidency.

Let it be known that the inexperienced lawyer that Karl Rove plugged in to replace Bud Cummins was Tim Griffin. Tim Griffin resigned the post less than 24 hours after John Conyers subpoenaed evidence that reaveled that Tim Griffin oversaw an illegal scheme (for Karl Rove) to suppress hundreds of thousands of likely Democratic votes in the 2004 election.
