History Alive Project: Marco Polo to China (part-1)

*READ DESCRIPTION BELOW BEFORE WATCHING!*

There is a lot of information for this part so just bare with me. The reason for this is to explain what we did and what is going on during this part, so there wont be as much WTF's as there would be. There won't be as much information on the other parts than this one. This video isn't really for random youtubers, but to the people I know

Basically, for 7th grade gate social studies at Venado Middle school, we had to do a project called History Alive. For this, we had to do some "processing" which could be doing a ABC book or an African mask. "Processing" could be anything, so my some of my friends and I decided to do a video. By my mistake, it turned out to be around 25 min long. For the final grade we got a 100%, but most people got 110% percent because 10 credits of processing is 100% and 11 credits is 110%. Even though we probably worked harder than most people, we got 100% cause it wasn't "educational" enough. Yet making an African mask is...

We filmed for one day and I edited for two days, and I didn't sleep one night, since I got the raw film two days before the project was due. The day when we filmed was the Friday of Memorial weekend, and it was a really windy day. This is why you hear wind noises and the dialog is hard the hears sometimes *I SUGGEST YOU HEAR HEADPHONES(or earphones, I'm not really sure which one it is)* so you can hear the dialog more clearly.

Characters:
Patrick Chen(me): Kublai Khan (the ruler of china at the time), a sucker, and a random guy

Kenny Chen: Nicolo Polo (Marco Polo's father)

Daniel Kim: Maffeo Polo (Marco Polo's Uncle)

Michael Chang: Marco Polo

When writing this skit, I accidentally made Kenny and Daniel be in almost all of the scenes, even though Michael was suppose to be the main character... At first, I was going to write many little skits, but I procrastinated and was only able to write one.

In case if I drifted away from a the main plot, which is what I do for many skits I wrote, here is a summary of what happened during this part. Marco Polo is told by Nicolo and Maffeo that they are going to China. Marco asks if he can come and they say yes. Maffeo asks him if he remembered the story they told him about Nicolo's and Maffeo's first trip to China. Marco starts the flashback about their trip to China. Maffeo and Nicolo are standing and talk about when they sold a "golden" compass to a sucker. BTW, they are merchants. They have a flashback within the flashback about when they sold the compass. After, they sold it they run away, and the sucker brakes the compass. There is a montage of the sucker sunning saying NOOO!!!(the reason I put this montage was because I thought we only had 5 min of actual film, but i was wrong) then the flashback within the flashback ends and it goes back to the actual flashback. Maffeo spots a palace and they go inside. While I was researching, I couldn't find why or how they started their conversation with Kublai, so I just made them walk inside for no reason. The flashback ends and you see Nicolo and Maffeo sleeping while Marco is still having the flashback. They start messing with him and then go back to sleep. the flashback starts up again. This is the end of part one.

I will put some missing information in the other parts that I forgot in this part, along with another summary
