I'm still playing with this guy. Here I'm stacking it with an El Capistan, a blueSky, and an RV-5. The El Capistan was on from the beginning. The reverbs get turned on later. Guitar is a Tele Deluxe (so, humbuckers you know) and amp is a Matchless Chieftain.

El Capistan is on Fixed mode C. blueSky is on normal room mode. RV-5 is on modulate mode (of course).

I'm doing these demos because I have a feeling this is going to be a special pedal in the future. There won't be many of these made. It's got some good sounds and some good features. It's a unicorn.

  • @electricfiddle1313 I go rv-5 into blueSky.

  • So, why'd you put the RV-5 back on the board? I thought you were enjoying the modulated reverb from the BlueSky.

  • @Xevamir i enjoy it. but it's still not as good as the rv-5.

  • Is that expression knob plugged right into the Memory Man or the El Capistan? How are you using it?

  • @robertkortus it's plugged into the el capistan and it's controlling the repeats

  • Do you stack the Rv-5 into the Bluesky? Or vice versa?

  • Hi Andrew,

Love your work.... Great sense of space/melody and minimalism...

That new memory man - Hmmm, it is hard to tell if it is the recording but it sounds a little on the bright & thin side... Do you think the chorus has a deep lush sound ?

I get the impression that it isn't as full sounding as the old version.

Does it beat the strymon ?

  • what's different between the memory man deluxe and memory boy deluxe?

  • @tubescreamer Not as good? In what way?

  • @TacooGrill it just requires 9v @ 200mA so either outputs 5 or 6 will work. There is an internal mechanism that ramps the voltage to 18v or something on the inside.

  • @tubescreamer Gotcha. Thanks for taking the time to reply. Maybe I'll bust out the little RV-5 and save the BlueSky for the longer Sigur Ros reverb sounds.

  • As always, very nice! Have you tried a Timeline? What are your thoughts on the M9?
