2004 Barrel Mania Bloopers

This video contains video clips that have been seen on TV shows like Sport Disasters, Country Fried Home Video and Whacked Out Sports. The first clip I have seen on many discussion boards. All the ones I have seen blames the Rider or the horse but it is neither it was the gate man's fault. He didn't see the girl coming up behind him and closed the gate just as they were coming through. The last clip has been on TV many times. The lady comes in making a smoking run but for some reason after go around the 3rd barrel she can't get back up in the saddle. is the person that ran into the wall ok????? it looked like it hurt cause she was rolling on the floor. it looked kinda like she was having a laughing fit thou lol. i know it wasnt that though. basicly all i wanna know is that was she ok?????

(This is why when I barrel race, i use 2 hands not just 1, you have waaaay more control.) But with 1 hand your more stable and can balance better

Horse at about 2:25 is running around and he see's his mom, he's already running the other direction, like, 'Uh oh, Mom's MAD.'

I think that if I saw other horses going down at the first barrel, I would slow up a little more going into it...

@flyhperformancehorse agreed to some degree some of these accidents could have been provented, by the rider

As a barrel racer myself, 95% of these accidents are due to rider error and lack of horsemanship. And due to these poor riders the sport of barrel racing is being put to a bad name, and I ask you to please not judge all barrel racers because of these riders with appalling horsemanship skills.
