Ernest was a doctor or a "ghost" of Silent Hill. He's a lost soul who experiences his daughter's death over and over again. Maria encounters him in her journey to find out why she's alive in Silent Hill.

Does he mean she's dead, a ghost, non-existent, a manifestation of James' psyche....?

Wait.. I finished the game on PS2 with all possible endings and I didn't get this one. Is this the PS2 version? Is this ending only in "Greatest Hits" Version? Sorry for my ignorance XD. Anyway, this is the best game I've ever played.

Well, I think Maria isn't totally made up by James mind. I think she's a spirit of some suicidal streapteaser (watch beginning and the ending of Born From a Wish), who were changed after death (at least her memories and appearance) by town's power to fulfill James desires.

You need to combine a strand of hair you find in the second floor from a box that has multiple chains and locks. Combine that with the bent needle and use it to pick up the key from the drain.

well anyways after i complete this game i will write a book of this. but it will take a while because im in the hospital and i looked everywhere for a tool to get that thing out of the drain pipe can anyone help me there ( im talking about the drain pipe on the third floor that shows the green goo on the floor)
