Twitter was hacked - September 21, 2010

News update for September 21, 2010

This morning twitter was hacked. Visitors to the twitter site had unexpected pop ups. The pop up would then be used to install malware on the users computer. 3rd party programs which are used to send and receive tweets were not affected by the hack.

If a person is smart enough to hack twitter then why don't they go get a job the IT field? They would make a lot more money working in IT. I have never understood that about hackers.

FYI:

This guy who hacked twitter is a 17 year old boy, so to "just go get a job" in the IT field is currently not an option..
