Following last year's devastating floods in Mt Rainier National Park, I hiked the 92 mile Wonderland Trail with an emphasis on capturing the changes and repairs done by the park service and volunteers. Part I covers Longmire to Golden Lakes.
It is always amazing to me how powerful water is. I'm also surprised at the campground, not that they were washed away, but that they had been constructed where they were, making them suseptable to the runnoff. I guess they didn't think it would get that bad. Live and learn I suppose. Enjoy your hikes. Keep 'em coming.
