dont know why you're embarrassed. this is exactly what a tutorial should be. the break has just the right amount of complexity and familiarity that a beginner like me needs. great commentary, if you put up more tutorials i will definitely subscribe!! also, how do you click everything in place so quickly?? or cut the note length exactly in half with one click of the mouse??

I know most from this tutorial, but i can tell you this is the best break tutorial i've watched. Awesome man. I'd like to hear some your song if you have. ;)

Ha thanks man, I appreciate it. I need to get motivated and make a more thorough version of this, but I've been so lazy. I did have some tracks online, but I've been broke lately so the first thing to go was the site. I'll get it to you if it ever gets back online.

How did you do that thing where you cut those notes and changed pattern but still able to view the notes (grayed out) from your first pattern?
Ive always seen this but not able to figure it out!

I didn't really change PATTERN, but just which Fruity Slicer I was working in. To get the "grey notes" in the background, go to the piano roll, click on the piano menu (upper left) and go to "Helpers > Ghost Channels" Hope that helps! It's a great tool when you're composing music as well, especially if you're like me and have no idea what key your music is in, it makes things really quick!

Sign up for an acct. at Dogs on Acid and do a search for "breaks2dl"
Should turn up all the breakbeats you'd need.
