Saw Rod and Bacon Fat at the Golden Bear in '71...Rod was amazing back then. I think he started out with Juicy Harmonica, and the place was rockin'. Then this tall black guy comes like he's the president. Rod gives him the mike, and this George Smith cat starts playin' like I never heard harp being played. Everyone in the place was blown to the back wall, an' we was jumpin'!! George could play like noone, and put on a show that made you remember who George Smith was. God bless ya' George. RIP.
