  • how many people here actually saw the original movie from 1954 before hearing about this show

  • @ilikepenguins100 hehe, one would hope they all did, but it was more enjoyable and watchable for kids as a TV series than the original black and white Seven Samurai movie of three hours and twenty-seven mintues! Although Seven Samurai and Yojimbo are two of my favorite Kurosawa films. Those are more for adults really to understand the subtleties of human interaction than this animated series, very different, wouldn't you say?

  • 懐かしい!!この曲凄く大好きだ><

    HNKのアニメとは思えない位高クオリティだし過去最高作だと思う

    最終回でヘイハチが「米が食べたい・・・!!」って言ったのが凄く感動した

  • @a4f7d8fgh8 Translation: Nostalgic! Really love this song> <

HNK anime and think about the high quality work they seem to record

Heihachi in the last round, "to eat rice!" What you said is very impressed

  • I miss Goroubei, he was the funniest one, and I think out of all the characters, he actually had a reason to keep on living! Such a pity, really...

  • @Gxyz222 mine as well, my avatar on IM

  • @ilikepenguins100 I did! I loved the original movie. It's a master piece. This Anime is a great take-away from it.

  • @ilikepenguins100 I've watch the original one more than 300 times before watching this anime.

  • @ilikepenguins100 I did. N they're both awesome

  • I agree ending sucked they could have continued

  • Sigh... I loved this anime, seriously, but the ending parts really ruined it for me. It just became a mass destruction and random fighting and I lost the same hold of sympathy I had in the movie. Individual developments were cast aside in favor for the Emperor plot, and things didn't feel as beautiful or engaging as they should have been. Still great though

  • @ilikepenguins100 i've heard the 1954 movie but I've watched first the anime series since im an anime fanatic.. i recently watched the orig and 1954 black and white movie its really great.. I salute Akira Kurosawa

  • @eteune this animated series is still the best anime out there IMHO, ever since i watched i can't find much interest in anime because everything i see just falls flat, the story in samurai 7 and characters are so believable, it's amazing, every other anime feels like a pandering flick with nice animation and sometimes music, unless it's light hearted adventure like original DB or Slayers

i mean, you watch this and then shit like samurai champloo and are in awe that ppl enjoy that junk

    ~~SPOILER ALERT~~

Nah. It was the ONLY way for him to die. Out of all the ridiculous feats these guys pulled off with swords, Kyuzo was the only one who made me think, "Yeah, that's slightly possible." Killed by an enemy? Impossible. By a traitor? Not gonna happen -- he's too sharp for that. It had to be the person who admired him most, unintentional, and with the enemy target actually biting the dust.

And he said he'd be waiting.

    I almost believed that, too.

  • @FableStable gorbe is cat in Farsi

  • better than samurai jack...
