Arriving at Kennedy station just after 7:30 a.m. on January 27, 2012, and after 35 years serving the Bloor-Danforth line, this was its final day of revenue service for the TTC's oldest H4 subway trains, the train left Kennedy station at around 7:45 a.m. that day, making only one-round trip during the morning rush hour, the train would arrive at Kipling station an hour later just after 8:30 a.m. and would make its way back to Kennedy station, as the final train would be decommissioned from that point, just after 9:30 a.m. As you can hear in this video, the supervisor goes on the P.A. quote "This would be the final day of the H-4 subway train, the next train will be the oldest H-4 train, the train that just entered the station today makes its final trip, it would be retired in 2-hours time after serving the line for 35 years."
