what i wanna say:

i think, in that lady's first movie, she played the role of a nice person. or maybe, all the roles she was offered were bad characters.

that open field scene is kinda like a tradition in hmong films.

in thai movies, there is always a mean girl(s) who is(are) always mean to the max.

I agree that most hmong movies have the story of the husband cheating on the wife and the mean in-laws but hey, that is what sells!

I love that movie. I keep it on the side for when I have a bad days because I can just watch it and it cracks me up and cheers me up and makes me feel better. I love that old lady. She's bitchy but makes the story more interesting. And OMG, is she really Pog Nplaum's real mom??? I didn't see tht coming! Love Xaab Thoj and Maiv Lis Yaj in that movie. Didn't like the gangsters and some of the stupid scenes like the dancing scenes between the white people and Nom Pham/Maiv Ov but the rest is fun.

Well, first off Mr. Trent not bad at all on your movie commentary/review. But last time I checked, even some of my fellow Hmong-American who speaks Hmong with very heavy accents are still able to comprehend movies like these. Maybe you were bored, but next time try looking into things that might not waste our time if it isn't yours. Don't get me wrong, effort is always appreciated, unless it's not very beneficial to the cause. This isn't a put down but this is how we improve right, brother?
