Narbacular Drop is a puzzle game developed by Nuclear Monkey Software. It was released in 2005, and was made by some students attending DigiPen.

When it comes to the gameplay, one can say that the gameplay reminds you of Portal (Nuclear Monkey Software worked on Portal as well). You can't jump in this game, so the only way to pass through obstacles, is by using the portals. If there is anything I can complain about when it comes to this game, it'd have to be the controls. It just feels slippery.

Enjoy part 1.

  • As soon as Valve found out about this game, they hired everybody on the team who worked on this game to make Portal. That's awesome of them! They didn't just steal their idea, they hired them! :D

  • Hay dude the reason why it plays like portal is because when valve when to digipen to judge a competition they came across this game and (kind of) put it into it's next game.

Then they recruited the developers of it and they all got cars, money and sex the end.

  • Students from the same school also helped them do portal 2. They did the gel stuff, and their game was Tag: The Power of Paint. So portal 2 was a collaboration of the to. I hope they make portal 3 soon. The portal series is just to good not to.
