Winner of Golden Spurtle:
Ian Bishop - The Slochd , Carrbridge.
Local mountain bike guru and cross country ski school proprietor.
Local porridge enthusiast. Ian has taken part in the championship every year since started. His secret ingredient, he believes, is the water he uses which comes from a bore hole tapped 100' down into an underground river.

Speciality Porridge Winner:
Addy Daggert, Professional chef - Craigellachie
Addy won the sepciality porridge in 2006 and was last year pipped at the post despite getting a thumbs up all round for his porridge ice cream.
Addy's Speciality 2008 recipe: Marzipan porridge with Glenfiddich whisky ice cream and vanilla marinated stewed apple.
