Raising the Fawn are from Toronto, Canada. You might know some of the other members from their work in Broken Social Scene or City and Colour. I saw them live in Windsor, Ontario, early on, 2001 maybe, playing on a postage stamp of a stage to about 50 people. It was the most intimate and amazing show I've ever been to. The song Selene is from their self-titled debut album, which I've always thought had a sort of unique magical innocence to its sound, but I think it's mostly fallen into obscurity (or whatever counts for obscurity with obscure indie bands from Canada). The film was downloaded from archive.org, just a bunch of kids with a super 8 camera in New Mexico. It seemed to fit the music.
If you like this song, go visit the band's myspace page to find out more about them:
