Dentist Dr Mark Hepworth, of Abbey Dental in Ballasalla, provides advice on how parents can help prevent their children suffering from tooth decay at a young age.

A new oral strategy document for the Island is due out later this year.

The last figures from the Department of Health, in 2005/06, showed 52 per cent of five year olds had experienced tooth decay.
