SportsGamerShow - NFL Blitz Review (XBLA/PSN)

EA Sports continues to bring back old arcade hits, first with NBA Jam: On Fire Edition and now with the recent release of NFL Blitz.

The game features fast 7-on-7 gameplay, big hits, huge plays and a number of modes that are new to the series.

The big question is whether or not NFL Blitz recaptures the gameplay that made it so popular and gives it enough of a facelift to make it feel like a fresh, new experience.

In this episode of SportsGamerShow, I'll explain how NFL Blitz faithfully recreates the original Blitz experience, but also fails to execute on other aspects of the game.

the game isnt made to be 100% realistic, its just made to have fun, so you cant take it seriously like madden or any other sports game

@firescarab13 of course, but the problems that are in the game shouldn't be there in the first place, whether its an arcade game or sim. Lack of late hits is beyond EA's control, but the best players on each team HAVE to be in the game like this. Imagine playing NBA Jam with Norris Cole instead of Lebron James. Blitz is a fun game, but it has its flaws.

I miss late hits around too. But come on guys.....love the game 8.5 for me. I really miss raiden lol

@TrendSeta12 I'm having fun with the game, but had to lower my score due to the lack of late hits, lefty QBs throwing righty and most importantly the outdated rosters. Not having the best players on each team in the game is inexcusable.

Any solo player career stats, records, win/loss tracking? Does Gauntlet mode save progress? No solo season mode? LAME.

I like the fact they added the funny teams,

but I think they should add a DLC with a HoF mode.

I think it would have been a bit better had they let you make a custom team and earn points to improve their stats by winning, instead of meaningless boss teams. A lot like they did in the NHL Hitz game.

lefties throwing right handed... really you care about that? I understand outdated rosters being a problem but lowering a score because of something so pity is crazy. Late hits is dissapointing maybe they can add those back long with updated rosters.
