Stop dog barking at the door

Dogs bark when someone comes to the house because it is very rewarding. We always open the door because someone is waiting. The dog thinks he barked so hard we opened the door for him. Dog thinks that was great I'll do it again tomorrow. In this video you will see how to change the annoying reaction of the dog barking at the door to a much more enjoyable action from start to finish. Also desensitizing the sound of the knock at the door. This also works great with a door bell, I just don't have one:)

what can i do when all they bark at is the foot steps? do i ask someone to shuffle their feet otutside while i feed the dogs?
