  • Hi Alan remember me? Keith Morgan. Joined in 1960 in accounts in Jermyns Street, then Cargo sales,Cargo at Heathrow, Quality Control, and Passenger Services. Well done for posting this, always gets to me

  • @kemo36100 Hi Keith certainly I remember u - Have not heard about or from you for many a long year - how are you keeping - have you yet retired and enjoying retirement.

  • @alanwhetlor Hi Alan, well and truly retired now, after four years with American I did a year with the Vet LABS, and then 10 years with DHL, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Nothing doing now, never hear from anyone but did once from Gary Noble, Dave McMahon and Andy Fraser. All quiet now though

  • @kemo36100 Hi Keith - Good to hear that your are fully retired - You can email me at barala@sky.com

  • TWA were the best. My dad work for them in the Piccadilly and Hounslow offices and it was one big family. Great memories.

  • I'am guessing your dad was John - passenger sales - If it was your dad how is he? remember me to him

    Cheers

  • As a youth it had always been my dream to wear the TWA uniform, in any way shape or form with the ultimate dream of wearing those four golden strips. Sadly this never happened. I miss the carrier for it's class and elegance right till the end TWA was a class act. Godspeed to one of the greats of our time and many others time as well.

  • My Dad worked for TWA as well. He graduated from Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics and worked at Greater Pitt. From there he went to JFK for a while back to Pit and then to Sky Harbor Phoenix Arizona. I was medically retired and died a few years after but man we traveled the world and saw everything. Not to mention we would fly back to Pittsburgh to see family and Steeler games. Long Live TWA the greatest airline in service and quality. We had a friend who worked at Heathrow.

  • Having watched the Pan Am story last night, feeling very sentimental so decided to take a look at this again and pleasantly surprised as a realised I am actually in it, albeit fleetingly. Id never noticed before. So many wonderful people in the video. So glad to have been part of the TWA family. Love to all. Deb Heath - Passenger Svc Agent LHR xx

  • So sad watching this again, I have the VHS version and will one day change it to DVD. I'm now well retired and living down in Cornwall and enjoying what's left of my life immensely. I knew so many of the people featured, sadly some are now deceased, but my overwhelming memory of my TWA days was never waking up in the morning and wishing I didn't have to go to work. That was not something I felt working for American and I was glad to take their redundancy offer and run.

  • Hi its MB part of the trio BD,JK the scourge of Brain Setchfield, God bless him

  • I'm sitting here crying after seeing so many familiar faces - thank you so much for doing this! I flew ORD/LHR for many years - so many wonderful memories! We weren't just TWA - we were Trans WORLD Airlines...and we became friends - not just co-workers - with so many all over the world! London is the place I miss the most...and all of my friends for so many years...at the airport, the hotel, and the pub next door, the Indian and Greek restaurants across the street...miss you so much!

  • This video is so incredibly packed with memories, familiar faces, places and scenes that it has the ability to turn this 51 year old man (who rarely shows any emotion) into a helpless puddle of mush! It is without equal and one of the best videos on Youtube, full stop.

Long live the memory, dignity and elan that was TWA.

  • Trans World Airline as "Howard Hughes" called it, was his BABY and he was the one to make aviation what it is today. TWA was first airline to serve hot coffee and inflight movie and start the "clubs". He also designed the "connie" Lockheed constellation as well as pioneered the wide-bodied aircraft Lockheed L-1011, the best EVER with Rolls Royce engines and the ride soooo smooth. I flew it many times and miss those good old days!

Give all credit to Howard Hughes...............

  • What I wouldn't do to have "crew tea" again in the lobby of the London Kensington Hotel upon arrival. The most wonderful years of my life, thank you to my friends and crew-members that shared so many International memories with. From Lisbon to the German Corridor, from London to Kurachi...Tel-Aviv,...Milan...the way we were.....I'll never forget you TWA...

  • When airports and flying on airlines were normal, enjoyable and exciting.

Just look at it now!! The once 1st class airlines that made flying a joy, that started from the 1st step into an airport are long gone replaced with airlines who care more for profit and saving money, than giving people a great service, and airports that are worse now than prisons.

  • I was on the last (official) TWA from London/Gatwick to St. Louis on December 1st, 2001 ! We received a water canon saltue in both Gatwick and St. Louis , the flight was operated with N691LF B-767-300ER with the old red stripe logo. I was seated in Seat 1C Trans World One Class! Check-In however was already done by AA and so were we are using the Admirals Club at Gatwick. I was so sad that AA bought them that I changed my return ticket onto US Airways as i did not want to fly AA any longer!

  • RIP my dad - Andy Fraser xx
