Is State Senator Chris Romers bill to regulate medical marijuana in Colorado just a government solution looking for a problem? Or has the medical marijuana business grown beyond what voters originally intended? On this weeks Independent Thinking, Senator Romer and Denver attorney Rob Corry join host Jon Caldara to hash out their differences over medical marijuana regulation.
@benjamincoors During alcohol prohibition, the only way you could legally buy it was to get a doctors prescription. Many people did it, and the doctor would wink while filling it out, "Here's your medical whiskey." It's very similar. People should be free, all these rules just make any perceived problem worse.

No one believes Romer's lies.

I think it is interesting how the medical marijuana dispensaries are continuously compared to liquor stores. When was the last time you walked into a liquor store seeking doctor prescribed medication? Liquor stores and marijuana dispensaries do not fall into the same category. I know that I could, at any given time, walk into a liquor store and purchase alcohol for recreational use, I cannot, however, walk into a dispensary and purchase marijuana, unless I have a prescription from a doctor.

wow, what a great interview! Rob Corry really sent hit his message hard when he proposed to replace every MMJ word with abortion and then Senator Romer agreeing, that was incredible. I think using that example will help Senator Romer when he proposes another bill. Senator Romer did have some valid points about growers. As a dispensary owner I would require that all medicine being sold to patients use some form of spectrum analysis.

Rob Corry is a sensible man and knows what he's talking about. We need his help with the bill in Denver.
