i don't think you're doing the right thing, putting these guys down for something they obviously worked hard on. i understand that sometimes being culturally accurate is important. but i also support being creative and being innovative. i'm the rural suite co-coordinator for my filipino club and we did consider keeping the dance as accurate as we can. but, being so traditional can get boring.  having a little flavor to the basic isn't a bad thing. you should be a little more open minded.

I've been performing Tinikling and other traditional Filipino dances for over 15 yrs but I wouldn't call myself an expert. However, I do know about the culture and it's through our traditional dances that we tell our history and stories. I can understand where 'blueleopard' is coming from, but we see things with different eyes. At the end of the day I give this group praise that they are trying to keep the interest in Filipino culture alive by reinventing the dances and having fun. Keep trying:)

You might think what you're doing is creative, but you're not showing the culture at all with these pointless entrances. The choreography is definitely improved from 2006 though, but the routine can deal with less uselessness. Waving the bamboos is not attractive.
