Considered one of the most dangerous roads in the area, it is nevertheless a great ride if you just pay attention and keep your cool (and pullover to let the crazies go by!). Unfortunately, today I came across an accident up ahead so turned around before getting to Lake Elsinore. This is, unfortunately, not that unusual.

I've ridden the Ortega several times over the years but never like that. Great video Doug. Maybe someday I will be able to join you on my Vespa when I get it.
