Long lost singer Julie Monday recorded this single in 1966. Even though mostly forgotten, this song captured the wonderful spirit of those times as well as anything, especially for the young (the early boomers). It is still just as great today and for today's youth. Julie (where is she?) sounds something like a cross between Linda Ronstadt and Joanie Mitchell; folky, easy, romantic, natural. Lost but not forgotten thanks to You Tube and Windows Movie Maker! The elusive moment, and our dreams, whether 1966 (especially then) or now, tomorrow may be gone, but today is still today. The label says written by G. Kennington and produced by Joey Brooks; a wonderful, mystical orchestral sound. That's me with Terri the Car, inviting you to come. The wistful flip side is great too: "Time is Running Out for Me"

  • Thanks; I haven't heard the later versions!

  • Thanks for the info and comment! Such a lost treasure. I'll post the great flip side too in due course. I don't drive a Detroit car though!

  • I love this song. Like the other people here, I do not understand why it did not become a top ten hit. I guess if we all ran out and bought a copy, it might have been.

  • How can someone not like this song? Such emotion and meaning.

  • This is a Great One, 1966, I Beleive.

  • What a beautiful song- I haven't heard this in ages- just heard it on an internet oldies station out of San Diego, CA.

  • Heard this song twice on a station that really does obscure stuff, but didn't have a title or artist name. Researched site after site for obscure 60's songs, then stumbled into it here. A huge thank you for uploading this fantastic song !!

  • ROTFLMAO.....listening to this again after my post; I was 8 when I last heard the song in 1972. I thought she was singing:

"UNTIL I DIE, UNTIL I DIE..........(come share the good times with me)"

  • OMG! I have looked for this song many times in the past, took a chance again.....here it is!

My parents had this recordI (I was only 2 when it was recorded) and later became part of my collection, as well as their Herb Alpert and Englebert Humperdinck albums. For me it was an alternative to the Parttridge Family. I still have those but somehow Julie got seperated from the flock and lost almost 4 decades ago.

Brings back memories of simpler and happier times. Thank you!

  • I'd kill to be able to download this. What happened to this singer. Love debby boone's rendition as well........

  • Sounds more like Petula Clark.

  • WoW...a Lost one...haven't heard this since 1966, Now I remember WHY I liked it back then. It sounds just as Good now. A Classic. Thanks.
